As an established landmark in Cape Town, the master plan is looking to future use and re-development of this site.

The objective is to create more defined spatial use within the precinct, while considering aesthetic appeal and strong vistas. The initial process was focussing on the main entrance road and embracing the building’s façade, creating an avenue effect with London Plane trees, and perennial planting schemes, culminating at a grand water feature.

With multi-use facilities on the site, focus has been to allow for sufficient parking, while creating separate zones for these activities and embracing a more rural landscape theme throughout, with low ‘werf’ walls, avenues of trees and indigenous plantings.
